"I Might Hop Up There and Do a Verse": Xzibit Just Co-Signed Our Dr. Dre Orchestra Show

🎥 WATCH NOW: Xzibit's Endorsement Video → | Get Lucky Live Performance →
When rapper Xzibit—the same Xzibit who traded verses with Eminem and Dr. Dre on "What's the Difference"—gives your touring show a public shout-out and hints he might jump on stage, you know you're doing something special.
But let's back up. How did a Toronto-based entertainment company end up creating orchestral tribute shows so authentic that the actual artists from the original recordings are endorsing them?
In his own words, Xzibit calls out The Chronic Live—our 16-piece orchestral tribute to Dr. Dre's legendary production—and specifically names "What's the Difference" (the track featuring himself, Eminem, and Dre) as his favorite song we perform.
Read that again: The artist who actually recorded the song says it's his favorite to perform with our orchestra.
That's not a tribute band compliment. That's validation.
"Good luck on the tour. I might hop up there and do a verse." - Xzibit
Three years ago, we had a wild idea: What if we took Dr. Dre's production genius—those layered, intricate beats that defined West Coast hip-hop—and rebuilt them from scratch with a full orchestra?
Not a karaoke backing track. Not a DJ mix. A legitimate 16-piece ensemble: live strings, horn section, rhythm section, four vocalists and rappers bringing Snoop, Eminem, Kurupt, and Dre's verses to life.
The first show sold out in Hamilton, Ontario. Then Toronto. Then we took it to 8 cities across Canada.
The result? 40 shows. 40 sell-outs. 100% success rate.
Every. Single. Show. Packed to capacity.
Here's what we didn't expect: the audiences.
Yes, we got the expected crowd—35-45 year olds who grew up with The Chronic and 2001, who remember where they were when they first heard "Nuthin' But a 'G' Thang."
But we also got:
One audience member in Vancouver told us: "I've heard 'Still D.R.E.' a thousand times. But I've never heard it until tonight."
That's the difference. When you strip away the samples and rebuild the music note-by-note with acoustic instruments, you hear Dr. Dre's genius in a completely new way. The sophistication that was always there—hidden beneath the West Coast swagger—becomes undeniable.
After Daft Punk announced their retirement in 2021, fans had a problem: they'd never see this music performed live again. The French duo famously played their last shows in 2007. Millions of fans never got the chance.
So we asked: What if we could give them that experience?
One More Time was born—a full orchestral interpretation of Daft Punk's catalog. "Get Lucky." "Harder Better Faster Stronger." "Around the World." "Digital Love." The hits that defined electronic music for a generation, now performed by musicians you can actually see.
The scarcity is real. Daft Punk is retired. This is genuinely the only way to experience their music in a live concert setting now.
And just like The Chronic Live, it sold out. Every show. Every city.
Let's be clear: these aren't your typical tribute nights.
The musicians are conservatory-trained professionals. String players who've performed with symphonies. Horn players who've toured with major artists. Studio session players who've recorded on tracks you know.
The production values are theater-level. Full lighting design. Professional sound. Cohesive visual aesthetic.
The energy is concert-level. When the horn section hits the iconic "The Next Episode" riff, the audience loses it. When the strings swell on "One More Time," people are dancing and crying simultaneously.
One review called it "the most fun you can have at the symphony." Another said "the only concert where I saw someone in a tuxedo next to someone in a Snoop Dogg jersey, both equally losing their minds."
Here's what we're seeing: these shows are becoming events people want to say they attended.
Social media blows up during performances. The morning after a show, our inbox fills with messages: "When are you coming back?" "Can I bring more friends next time?" "My dad hasn't been to a concert in 15 years and this got him out of the house."
The repeat attendance rate is 15-20%. That means nearly one in five people liked it so much, they came back to see it again.
And now we have Xzibit on record saying he might show up. Imagine being at the show when that happens.
We're building the tour routing now for both shows across Canada.
If you've never experienced Dr. Dre's "Forgot About Dre" with a full string section, or "Get Lucky" played by actual musicians instead of synthesizers, you're missing something special.
The Chronic Live brings hip-hop's golden era to life with the sophistication it always deserved.
One More Time gives Daft Punk fans what they thought they'd lost forever—a chance to experience this music in a concert setting.
Both shows run 90-120 minutes. Both feature 16 professional musicians. Both have perfect sell-out records.
And both are coming to a city near you.
For Fans: Follow us on social media for tour announcements. These shows sell out fast—when we announce your city, don't wait.
For Venues and Promoters: If you want to bring either show (or both) to your market, let's talk. 100% sell-out record. Proven concept. Turnkey production.
When Xzibit—X to the Z himself—gives you props and teases jumping on stage, when audiences pack venues to capacity in every single city, when classical musicians and hip-hop heads are equally impressed, you've created something special.
We're not trying to replace the originals. Dr. Dre's production is legendary. Daft Punk's legacy is untouchable.
We're offering a different experience: a way to hear music you love in a format you've never experienced. A way to introduce new generations to these catalogs. A way for Daft Punk fans to have a live concert experience they thought was gone forever.
And apparently, a way for legendary rappers to find their favorite song to perform.
"Who knows? I might hop up there and do a verse." - Xzibit
We'll be ready, Xzibit. We'll be ready.
